Today’s post is in collaboration with my favorite friends. I hope you all enjoy it! 😊
We are, as a society, becoming increasingly healthy. There is a growing trend towards vegan food, more and more people are taking the time to head to the gym, and younger people seem to be choosing healthy drinks over alcohol.
However, there is always more that can be done, and there will never stop being innovations, diets or techniques that can help you to progress on your health and fitness journey – regardless of your age.
So, with that in mind, what are the gadgets and devices that you cannot do without? What should you be utilising to make your life that little bit healthier, and how exactly do you stand to benefit?
1. Smoothie maker
With work, social events, gym, gigs etc. giving many people very little time to sit down and take the time to cook and eat food, having a smoothie maker can ensure you get a blast of nutrients and vitamins in a matter of seconds. Just grab a handful of your favourite fruits and vegetables, add a splash of oat or almond milk, and blend yourself a healthy breakfast or snack.
2. Filtered water bottle
The benefits of filtered water have been proven time and again, and if you want to be healthy, it really makes sense to get a water bottle that adequately filters what you drink. Research has found that drinking filtered water can reduce the risk of someone getting any type of gastrointestinal disease by more than a third, while it can also help children to develop far more robust immune systems.
3. Smart fitness watch
It can be tricky to know how much exercise you are getting in on a daily basis, but a smartwatch can accurately track what you are doing and can prompt you to do a bit more activity if you are slacking. Not only that, but smartwatches can also monitor your heart rate, show how many calories you are burning, and even offer you a tailored training plan that will help you to achieve your fitness goals.
4. Meditation apps
When it comes to remaining fit and healthy, it’s just as important to look after your mental health as your physical health. Studies have found that apps dedicated to helping you meditate and attain a calm mindset can actively reduce your cortisol levels, which can help you sleep better and enhance your ability to focus. This will then give you the energy you need to perform better at work, and also the energy required to run further and lift heavier at the gym.
5. Alarm systems
Alarm systems are an incredibly useful health gadget, especially for those who are elderly or infirm. Personal alarm systems can be used by the elderly and vulnerable, allowing them to call for assistance should they suffer a fall, if they become suddenly ill, or if they are in trouble in any way. Alarm systems can automatically alert a medical professional or next of kin, giving you that extra peace of mind.
