THIS is the recipe we have ALL been waiting for! Or maybe it’s just me being extra enthusiastic about sharing this recipe. LOL Anyway, if you want to be the dopest host around this holiday season then you need my Frozen Apple Butter Margaritas recipe to impress all of your guests.
I know some of you are thinking apple butter…in a margarita?! Yes, yes, I know. We see a lot of alcoholic beverage recipes made from apple cider but not very many with apple butter. That might be a bit understandable because apple butter is thick and a little difficult to dissolve into liquids. That’s why I decided to make a blended beverage using my Instant Pot Date-Sweetened Apple Butter. My high-speed blender blends the ice, liquors, apple butter, and apple cider together perfectly! Once you take a sip of this Frozen Apple Butter Margarita and get a lil’ bit of that cinnamon sugar rim you’re going to do a lil’ dance. 💃🏾
Tips for Frozen Apple Butter Margaritas
The best tip I can offer is to make this recipe! LOL I can’t stress this enough. I tested this on about 10 taste testers, one that was actually a bartender, and they all said this is the best fall flavored mixed drink they’ve ever had. I think all of the spices I used in my Apple Butter (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, allspice, cardamom, and vanilla) help to create a unique flavor in this Frozen Apple Butter Margarita.
I used La Belle Orange (a spectacular alternative to Grand Marnier) as my orange liqueur in this recipe. If you don’t own either of these liqueurs I would suggest using Triple Sec. And if all else fails you could use orange juice, but it just won’t taste exactly the same, so try to use an orange liqueur.
I used some organic unfiltered apple juice because I didn’t have apple cider on hand. In my opinion, I don’t think there is a really big difference between an UNFILTERED apple juice and apple cider. To be honest, don’t even waste your time with filtered apple juices, the robust flavor will be so bland to you after you get your first taste of unfiltered apple juice! Besides, unfiltered apple juice is much healthier for you than filtered apple juice because of the natural yeast strains that remain.
To keep your Frozen Apple Butter Margaritas cold place your glasses in the freezer for a few minutes before you start blending the drink.
Don’t really want to hold you guys for too long today because I know everyone is Thanksgiving prepping right now and I need to do the same thing. I think I finally have my Thanksgiving menu narrowed down, still need to figure out what I’m bringing to my cousin’s house if I decide to go over there. Might bring my Apple Butter Pecan Pie!
