This article may or may not step on some people’s toes so I’m going to go ahead and give a disclaimer; if you are sensitive this might need to be an article that you pass by! Anyway, let’s delve into the nitty gritty of why the average person does not like health nuts.
People Don’t Want to Change Their Bad Habits
The numero uno reason why the average person does not like health nuts is because they do NOT want to be told or reminded that they are living a lifestyle that is detrimental to their health! Once you tell someone that they do not make the right daily choices concerning their diet, exercise, and mindset they will tune you out and call you a nut…a health nut! By nature, humans don’t necessarily want to be reprimanded or told that they are not doing something correctly, especially when that something is what they have grown accustomed to doing. Can you get mad at someone becoming defensive when you tell them they need to change their bad habits? Nope, understand where they are coming from, and if you are now a health nut don’t forget where you were mentally before you changed your lifestyle. Show compassion for your fellow brethren; encourage them to take baby steps toward a healthier lifestyle. For the people who castigate health nuts, try to listen to what they have to say. Health nuts are only trying to educate as many people as they can about the producers of our food, the medical industry, Big Pharma, etc. But with that being said, this leads me into my second point.
Health Nuts Can Be a Bit Brash
My fellow health nuts, *sigh* we must be careful in HOW we educate our family and friends! If we aren’t careful we can come off as being a bit brash, which negates the intended purpose of our statements. I try my absolute best to not offend anyone when I am trying to educate them on the truths of the food and health industry, but I have come to terms with knowing some people are easily offended. Health nuts have learned so much information and sometimes that information that we learn can infuriate us to the point where we want to expose every single person we know to all of this knowledge. We are coming from a respectable place! There are some a**holes that like to boast because they know more than the average person…these are the people that give health nuts a bad name! I’m not going to be Petty Betty and give y’all examples of what I’m referring to. Y’all know some of the people I’m talking about! LOL

People Are Naïve About Their Health
The average person is naïve about their health and some of those people want to stay naïve about their health! As I said earlier people do not like to be reminded that they may be living a lifestyle detrimental to their health. Some people honestly do not understand their own health. They follow the status quo of what good health should be but they never take the time to research for themselves; we live in a society where we accept the customary information as truth but never verify its validity. We’ve all been programmed this way and it’s nothing to be ashamed about, you just need to learn to think for yourself and conduct your own research. Naïveté is just like ignorance- it’s blissful! It’s mentally easier for people to do the bare minimum for their health. Researching about Monsanto, pesticides, glyphosate, genetically modified foods, Bayer, Pfizer, holistic doctors, FDA, cancer prevention, etc. isn’t entertaining to the average person. We all want to trust our government and the FDA standards because we’ve been told to trust them since we were young children. We’re naïve to nearly all of the practices of our government. Most people don’t become serious about how they treat their bodies until their bodies begin to turn on them, when disease sets in, when cancer cells take over. Sometimes people seeing a loved one suffer tremendously forces them to reevaluate their own health. There usually has to be some sort of stimuli to get them motivated and serious about themselves. Other than that, most people view health nuts as people that are just trying to “cramp their style.”
