In a large bowl or baking dish add cold water and stir in the sea salt, mix until the salt is fully dissolved. Add in salmon filets and allow the salmon to brine for at least 10 minutes. After the salmon has finished brining, remove from the solution and pat both sides DRY with a few paper towels. Transfer the salmon to a cutting board.

In a small bowl, whisk together the sea salt, black pepper, and harissa spice. Sprinkle the seasonings generously over the salmon filets.

Heat the olive oil in a large cast iron skillet set over medium high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the salmon skin side down and cook for 4 minutes. After 4 minutes, reduce the heat to medium and flip over the salmon and continue to cook for 3 minutes. After the 3 minutes, flip the fish back over and spoon or brush the Spiced Cherry Glaze over the salmon. Remove the salmon from the pan and serve.
